KeenDNS service error codes

The KeenDNS Cloud Service for remote access to network device management provides debug information in error codes.

Possible codes and corresponding action options are shown in the table below.

Important

Because the remote connection cannot be established, you will need to switch to managing the router from the local network to eliminate the causes.

  • A (temporary) connectivity issue happened.

  • Please try reloading the page in your browser (Ctrl+R or F5 key).

  • If the issue persists, please contact the technical support providing the error code and, if possible, a self-test.txt file from the device.

Not Reachable

404

503

  • The router's off;

  • It has no Internet connection;

  • The Keenetic Cloud service is turned off;

  • The "Cloud-based remote control and KeenDNS" mandatory component is missing.

  • Please make sure that the Keenetic is plugged in with the supplied power adapter and that the status LED has a solid glow.

  • Examine the 'Internet' LED. An Internet connection must be established for the remote connection to work.

  • Keenetic Cloud service must be enabled in the System settings (Management menu section).

  • Accordingly, the 'Cloud-based remote control and KeenDNS' component must be installed.

Unknown Name

410

  • An error was made when entering the KeenDNS domain name in the browser.

  • Please check the registered Keenetic domain on the 'KeenDNS' tab in the 'Domain name' menu, the Network Rules section.

0x14 (Access Denied)

  • Remote access to the web interface of the device is set prohibited.

0x20 (Direct Only)

  • Attempt to access the device by IPv4 address over a cloud, while "Direct access" operating mode is set on the device.

  • It is obligatory that the correct access mode, Direct or Cloud, is set for the KeenDNS service. In case you want automatic recognition, use the 'ndns book-name {name} {domain} auto' command to register or update the KeenDNS registration, then just avoid selecting service operation mode in GUI.

  • An error that might occur when trying to access the device at IPv6 through the cloud, and IPv6 cloud access is disabled.

  • Please enable the Operating mode (IPv6)Cloud access box in the "Network rules > Domain name".

  • IPv4 client address got incorrect.

0x30 (No auth set)

  • Password is not set for the admin account.

  • The maximum number of simultaneous connections has been exceeded.

  • It is possible to open not more than 64 connections to one name simultaneously over the cloud.
